Founder’s Corner
Revenue Maturity Assessment
Whether your revenue number is built or wished for, and which part of the engine is holding it back.

How it works
Your revenue target is one of two things: a number you worked out, or a number you hoped for. The Revenue Maturity Assessment checks which, across the four pillars a revenue engine runs on, and places each one on a ladder from Level 1 to Level 4.
Founders run it on their own company for an honest read. Investors run it on a company they are looking at, as a diligence check. Either way the level is the output: where you stand, which parts of the business are exposed, and what to fix first.
The written series sets out five pillars. This assessment asks about four: predictability is an outcome of the other four rather than a separate thing to answer questions about, so it is folded into governance to keep the questionnaire to twelve questions.
The four pillars
- Revenue PlanningIs your revenue number real?
- Demand GenerationCan you create demand on purpose?
- Sales ExecutionCan your company sell without you?
- Revenue GovernanceDo you steer your revenue, or just watch it?

Give your name and email once, at the end. Nothing is asked for before that.
